Compressed air is the most expensive form of energy in most companies. This is precisely why the WITTMANN product developers pay particular attention to compressed air consumption.
With EcoVacuum, WITTMANN offers a vacuum solution for linear robots that significantly reduces compressed air consumption when holding parts on the gripper. This efficiency boost is achieved by demand-dependent vacuum control.
Once the vacuum has built up, the Venturi nozzle only switches on again before the vacuum becomes too low to hold the part securely. The limit values for the vacuum can be set individually for each component. The greatest savings potential is achieved when handling inserts or injection molded parts with a smooth surface. With structured surfaces, on the other hand, the vacuum must be readjusted more frequently.
