Reach your goals faster with WITTMANN’s large-scale injection molding machines
MacroPower now features a one-piece machine frame
For clamping forces ranging from 400 to 600 tons, WITTMANN’s MacroPower series of large-scale injection molding machines are now available with a completely redesigned, one-piece machine frame. Also new are the swiveling injection unit and the innovative hydraulic pump concept. For the user, this means significant time savings.
The advantages
- Faster on-site commissioning of new MacroPower machines at the user’s facility, resulting in a faster start of production.
- Screw changes in the shortest possible time—regardless of the machine’s installation location in the production hall. The injection unit is easily accessible from both the front and non operator side of the machine.
- The up to four hydraulic units can be specifically controlled as needed, for example to increase performance parameters or for parallel movements of the core pull, ejector, and hydraulic needle valve system.
The new MacroPower is equipped with a Unilog B8X control system as standard. This means a higher internal clock frequency, resulting in shorter response times to sensor signals and thus greater part reproducibility, combined with maximum operating comfort thanks to familiar, proven visualization.
Additional features
- The machine’s drive and servo units are air-cooled, which keeps operating costs low compared to liquid cooling.
- A globally unique, patented swivel locking system with just one cylinder for high serviceability of the machine.
- KERS to recover energy during braking, which can be used, for example, for cylinder heating—for maximum energy efficiency.
- Expert functions such as Coining, Venting, or ClampAdjust.
- Rapid availability of retrofit packages and service components.
The new MacroPower celebrated its world premiere at K 2025. There, at the WITTMANN Group’s booth, it demonstrated its performance capabilities by producing “HAIBOX” storage boxes made of PP in a single-cavity mold from Haidlmair. This was an in-mold labeling (IML) application. The MacroPower worked hand in hand with an IML system from WITTMANN. A thermal camera and the TDI4.0 software from SKZ were used for inline quality control. Other partners for this exhibit were Viapiani and Borealis.
