WITTMANN's S-Max primus screenless granulators are designed for use alongside injection molding machines and offer a cost-effective solution for in-line recycling of engineering plastics. They are available in two sizes and cover applications with clamping forces of up to 400 tons.

Thanks to its small footprint, the S-Max primus can be easily integrated into existing production layouts. It is easy to operate and supports smooth operation.

 With a low speed of 27 rpm at 50 Hz, the granulator processes engineering plastics, including glass fiber-reinforced materials.

When sprues and production waste are inhouse granulated and reprocessed, new challenges arise, such as fluctuating material properties and increased dust content. The Smart Recycling packages each consist of a granulator—for example, an S-Max primus—a mobile drying unit, a dosing unit, and a Feedmax Clean conveyor. The key to high-quality recycled material is that all system components are selected and coordinated according to the individual requirements of the material, the application, and the operating conditions. The package includes in-depth consulting from WITTMANN which is based on extensive grinding trials with detailed regrind analyses. 

A central component of every Smart Recycling solution is a Feedmax Clean conveyor, which achieves very high separation rates of up to 80 percent (particles < 1000 µm) when conveying recycled material, thus removing significantly more dust particles and fine particles from the granulate than comparable devices on the market.

Thanks to smart recycling, regrind can be efficiently and safely returned to the process even in demanding applications, such as in the automotive industry.
