WITTMANN extends its service

With the installation of a further test stand, the WITTMANN Group has strengthened its service portfolio in Germany. In addition to the facility in Nuremberg, the subsidiary in Meinerzhagen now also offers servicing and repairs for temperature controllers.

The investment at the Meinerzhagen facility includes a test stand for temperature controllers plus the establishment of a spare parts depot. In this way, WITTMANN has extended its capacity significantly and shortened the lead times for servicing and repairs of temperature controllers. Temperature controllers, either sent in or brought in, are now back again on the customers` premises ready for use much faster.

Meinerzhagen region is an important center of the German plastics processing industry. “We have many customers in this area, who are now able to simply bring us their temperature controllers”, says Jürgen Kreissl, Division Manager Service and Infrastructure of WITTMANN in Germany. “More and more customers send us their temperature controllers regularly for preventive maintenance. This increases the uptime of the devices and thus drastically reduces the risk of malfunctions and standstills on our customers’ production floors. By this service we also reduce the pressure on our customers in times of skilled labor shortage.”
