The S-Max series of granulators
The S-Max series of granulators
Reduce costs by recycling sprues and scrap
Screenless granulators
Screenless granulators provide a small footprint and ease-of-operation for processors who need beside-the-press sprue regrinding.
The S-Max series offers a cost-effective granulation via a robot or conveyor feed that is beside the injection molding machine.
Screenless granulators are primarily designed to grind hard, thick, brittle injection molding sprues and parts for closed-loop recycling.
A slow rotational speed allows for dust-free regrind and a long blade life cycle. The low speed minimizes noise development and flyback during operation and it also guarantees consistent regrind of better quality. This regrind contains fewer fines and it therefore melts more uniformly – resulting in fewer rejected parts and reduced costs.
The S-Max series offers a wider in-feed opening that allows bulky thin-walled parts to be pulled into the cutting chamber resulting in higher throughput capacity. The progressive cutting action of the rotor when combined with the sound proof design of the granulator hopper means that noise levels below 80 dB are guaranteed.
The S-Max series is best used for the granulation of sprues/runners from injection molding machines of 300 t clamping force and less.
Due to sharply increasing resin prices, the new S-Max series can help make recycling a cost-efficient way to reuse sprues and scrap.
No longs in the regrind
The consistent size of the resulting regrind results in smooth production operations – the regrind being easily conveyed back through the material handling system. Fewer rejects are produced – leading to increased productivity.
Maintenance-free operation
The S-Max screenless technology now needs even less maintenance. The screen doesn’t wear out, and no replacement parts are necessary.
Easy cleaning
The dedicated open design of the S-Max granulators facilitates the cleaning process and also makes for fast and easy resin changes.
